Narda, if you take a 1/2 cup of apple cider put 1or 2 drops of dish soap in
it, place it in a shallow container, and put it by your seedling containers,
you will get rid of the gnats. You might have to repeat this a few times ,but
it does work. As for sterilzing the soil, you can load up an old roasting pan
or one of those inexpensive turkey roasting pans with soil & bake it for 15
minutes in the oven and I think you'll have better results, your house may
smell a bit earthy for awhile but it will pass. Good luck JP
