Filipendula

Chick I know it is supposed to like the shade but how come mine prefers the
sun with moist soil.  Is it because I live in Z5?
Do you have persicaria?  It is wonderful in a sun/shade situation and stays in
bloom from July - Nov.  I really love it now.  Thanks Chris Braintree, MA z5.
