Will the real registrar please stand up

Lori, Clyde and others interested,

While Falstad states in his post of Sept 7, entitled Re: Enough ::

" Keep in mind that the American Hosta Society is not the international
registration authority for the genus Hosta."

Roger Bowden of Devon, England stated in his post of Sept 9 that the AHS
is the International Registration Authority and that Dave Stevenson is
its appointee.

Jim Wilkins states on page four  in the Yearbook for 1999, "As a
society, we serve as the registration authority for the genus Hosta" .

The score is two to one in this statement  of fact. Anyone care to
clarify further?
