Re: BAP10 / Mix it yourself?

Dan and Rich,

I suppose one could mix BAP yourself but there are some problems.

BAP {6-Bensylaminopurine} can be obtained at Research Organics. The price
is 10 grams for $69.10 or 100 grams for $441.75. That would put a liter
solution at about $70 (10 grams per liter). I am not sure they will sell to
people that are not affiliated with a company. They also have a "condition
for use" that states that all chemicals must be used in a laboratory.

Aqueous solutions of BAP are a little hard to make. You can use solvents,
but they have their problems as well. If anyone wants to know how to make
an aqueous solution of BAP, email me privately and I will send directions.
