Seems like we are "sparking" right along in
making our list
fruitful and interesting. Keep it up
EVERYBODY.
Lisa Flaum wrote "that her favorite fOr
this year is Pandora's Box which goes beautiful with Salvia Purple
Rain"
When I bought my
Japanese Iris in Sacramento at Capitol gardens I also bought two new Daylillies
that caught my eye.. One was called PURPLE RAIN.I am assuming that LISA
meant that she had Salvia called Purple Rain.
RE the daylily PURPLE RAIN The tag describes it as a
decidous perennial, bears bright grape purple flowers to 3" with a large
black eye. Grows to 15" tall. Sun, regular to little watering.
Nice container plant.
The second called COMING UP ROSES. I have put the tag
away terporally so will TRY and dEscribe it myself.
It is
a deep rosy pink with a large yellow center (Is this called the eye) It is
really about one-third of the flower, much larger that the eye in PURPLE RAIN.
It is very ruffled around the edges. They are still in bloom in the gallon
can that it came in. I might say that these two are my favorites right now since
they or a little more out of the ordinary than my
others.
I still would like to
continue my search for a lavender & pink or other pale pastel
colors.
