Hi, Pat -- There are literally hundreds of rebloomers -- get some good
catalogs and look for the 'RE' code (for repeat). Rebloom also depends
on your zone -- if you're in colder zones 6 and lower, you'll need
varieties that bloom Early and then repeat. In warmer zones, the Early
and Mid rebloomers usually will rebloom before frost. Rebloom is often
not consistent from year to year, depending on weather, rainfall, etc.
I used to look for the repeat varieties but have had better luck lately
with 'long-blooming' kinds -- those described as
having 'lots of branches & buds.' The more branches & buds, the longer
the plants will bloom! Some of these will bloom nicely for 4 to 6
weeks. This also depends on weather, since, if it gets too hot & dry,
the bloom season is often shortened. Finally, if you get some Early,
Mid, & Late season varieties, you'll have clumps of
different kinds blooming all season. Now I have some kind of daylily in
bloom generally from early June until October, in some years. Of course,
they're all a month early this year... Have fun choosing!
