Re: dormant vs evergreen

Somewhere I heard it is always better to buy any plant that was
grown in your hardiness zone.   More likely that the plant will
thrive in your garden.

If you do buy from Florida growers, ask if they grew under shade
cloth.  Their sun intensity is far stronger than it is here in
the north.
