Hi, I am a horticultural therapist but do not have much experience working
with the blind. I do know about Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown,
Massachusetts.
They have a world famous horticultural therapy program and a few years ago
produced a handbook entitled Horticulture Program. It was full of great ideas.
I'm sure if you contact Deborah Krause, HTR, (she is the coordinator of the
horticulture program ) she would be helpful or put you in contact with others
working with the blind. The # I have for Perkins is 617-924-3434 but the book
is a few years old so I'm not sure if that is correct. Good luck, let me know
how you do. Karen Belanger
