The new National Gardening (March/April) has a photo of a new tool
possibly of use to those of us with the creaky-groanies.  Gardener's
Supply Co. calls it the "Power Trowel", but it looks like a short
D-handled shovel to me.  ;-)  2 ft long, wooden handle, 6"x6" pointed
blade, weight 2 lbs, price $13.  http://www.gardeners.com and then
choose "tools" if you want to see for yourself.

Haven't played with one, but it ought to be better than the old
8 lb govt surplus entrenching tool I currently use.
