Admin New Owner

Hi,

I am now the new acting list owner for Enabled-Gardener, Diana is at the
moment not with us.  I have been in the background since the list moved to
St. Johns.

I have taken a couple of steps to further ensure the privacy of the list
members,

1.)I have set the list so that only list owners can get the list of names.
Be aware though that if you post you name becomes public.

2.) I have set all new people to review, which means that I get to see the
posts before they go to the list.  I will screen only to make sure that the
poster is authentically interested in gardening for folks with handicaps
and not trying to sell you anything.

I have not been subscribed till recently so I don't know who has posted and
who hasn't.  Please don't be dismayed when you find that your subscription
options have been altered to put you on review.  I am going to do that
tomorrow,


Now I notice that there is little participation in the list when this list
should be a community of folks sharing the love of gardening and the
difficulty in doing it because of some handicap.  Please will you all write
an introduction telling us about yourself and about your particular
interest in gardening.  Do it even if you have done it before.

I am not handicapped, just slowing down because of age.  I have a 1400 ft
greenhouse in which I grow Cacti and Succulents.  Right now they are
dormant but as early as next month I will get the first blooms.  They are
already beginning to sense that we have entered the days of lengthening
daylight.
