[ENABLED] Co-list owner introduction

Hello:

Welcome to the enabled-gardener email list. I am one of 2 list
co-owners. I started this list because I too am disabled. My
philosophy is let's find ways to continue gardening. I've been creating
a new website just for disabled gardeners--accessible through my Garden
of Eden website at:
http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/9251/index.html When you go to the
enabled gardener link--you'll find a place to input tips which are
posted for all web page readers, and information on linking your home
page to the enabled gardener webring.

I'm also a SUITE101 editor for The Enabling Garden:
http://www.suite101.com/topics/page.cfm/262 Each column teaches about
specific plants, garden techniques, etc. and whenever possible, gives
tips geared directly towards the disabled or elderly gardener.

I suffer from osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and carpal tunnel--not a
good combination for a gardener. If you read this week's SUITE101
column, you'll see I shared some information given me by a member of
another email group. If any of you have family or friends who have done
unique things to overcome difficulties in gardening, let me know. They
just may find their way into my column--with permission, of course.

I don't profess to know all the answers. On days like today (rainy for
3 days) I sometimes wonder how I'll keep on gardening--that's when I
concentrate on indoors stuff). Please use this discussion group to ask
for help and share how you've overcome difficulties.

We could put together a brainstorm session in live chat. How many of
you have browsers that can use java? I know a place where I can create
a chat room for us.
