Hi Pamm.... I don't have any access to land so all the 'gardening'
that I do is out on my 3 decks at my condo. I've never had much luck with
veggies........probably due to poor dranage and not big enough
containers.....but... I go crazy with flowers......flowers
seem to like being 'pot-bound' and careful 'grooming' will set blossoms
thru out the summer til about the 2nd frost.......one thing I *LOVE* to do
is my cascading petunias.
I have a deep wooden window box that they love........and they just go
crazy! I've tried doing tomatos.......but the growth became very 'stunted'
and the few tomatos that developed never ripened-up...... I had a bit of
luck with cukes but too much work for the few I harvested. I just think IF
I had reeeeal big containers it may have worked out better but then I
couldn't probably even lift the containers themselves out to my decks! I
hear that strawberrys are good in containers. And I have a feeling
stringbeans might do well......but everyone has their own methods and
results.

I agree with you about getting already established *plants* and not
start with seeds.
