What you are seeing is a fertilizer build-up. What you need to do is try and wash it off the plants with warm water, and leach the soil with warm tap water. You should also cut back on feeding for a little while.
I have also found that if the plants are potted in to large of a pot, the fertilizer tends to build up worse.
