[INDOOR-GARDENING:294] Problem with my tropical plants

Hi,
My Gardenia, Jasmine, Plumbago and one of my Hibiscus all have problems with
their leaves drying out and falling off for no good reason. I can't tell if
spider mite was the problem, that was my hunch, and sprayed for them just in
case. I took off all the dead foliage and trimmed back any bare branches, and
the Plumbago looks much better. Still, I have so many plants, and haven't had
this happen before, the leaves just turn brown and die for no reason! These
plants will live, I think, I've really been fussing over them since
discovering the problem. My apartment is really hot inside, and I wondered if
that might be part of the problem. In the summer these plants are all out on
my balcony, and grow so well. They hate it inside, even if they are next to
a huge east-facing window, with supplementary grow lights on the other side
of them. Do you have any ideas to what I might be doing wrong?
							Thanks!

Carolyn
