You tried the right thing, Ruth.  That's what everyone should do if it's
something that's not of general interest.

Returned messages are automatically generated by the receiving system if an
address is not valid.  If you have a problem with a particular person's
address and it bounces mail, expand the headers and forward the message to
me (not to the list, obviously).  I'll try to see what the problem might be.

Addresses of regular posters should generally be valid since I receive
bounce message for any list message that cannot be delivered and those
subscribers are either removed or their subscription set to POSTPONE.
