Hello,
I am thinking of growing a kumquat plant in a tub that would live indoors and outdoors, but probably mostly inside. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? Thanks.
Kaliya
I have been attempting to grow kumquats for years from seed, but with little success. Last year I bought a larger tree (about 8 to 10 inches tall). I kept it outside in a protected area (we get a lot of wind), and put it in the greenhouse for the winter. Our greenhouse thermistat is set at 45 degrees. I is currently covered with blooms, and there is losts of new growth just starting. I also keep Meyer Lemons, Persian Limes, and grapefruit (from seed). All do great and all but the grapefruit produce fruit. I have just sent for another kumquat and a Clementine tangerine. Can't wait!!
