When we have snow scale on our tropical hibiscus, we spray the areas w/
WD40 or Pam, trying to avoid getting too much on the leaves. Works
great!! Even when the leaves have gotten a little spray and on 90 degree
plus days, there didn't appear to be any damage.
Cygon is a systemic insecticide that is also sometimes prescribed.
