This is not your ordinary snake plant. That is Sansevieria
trifasciata. This is a different species. The leaves spread out
flatter. It is about 3 ft. in diameter. One of the leaves
measures 2' with some that are shorter. I've noticed the shorter
ones stand up until they grow longer and flatten out. They are
almost a deep olive green with splashes of lighter green on
them--very blotchy looking. There is a red edge around each
leaf. This is the best description I can come up with. I found
it one day 6 springs ago at a local nursery and verified that the
label was actually correct for a change. It is in a 12' pot
now. Receives water and fertlizer whenever I think of it which
isn't oftener than 1x a week for water and maybe 1x a month for
fertilizer. It is thriving on what I can benign neglect. In
fact, when I tried putting it on a more regular watering
schedule, I lost part of it due to rot.
