Flowering in these epiphytes is temperature triggered. Expose the plant to
cool evenings for about two weeks, colder nights require shorter time, up
to a point. Once buds have been initiated, you can move the plant to a
warmer environment. Should you be able to provide cool nights on a
continuous basis, in an environment where you can enjoy the plant during
the day, you should be able to have almost continuous bloom all winter.
What is cool? About 50-55 degrees F. Always works for me.
