Re: Gingers; seed offer; email etiquette

I've gotten a few gingers from Stokes Tropicals. I got them about one year
ago. During the warm weather I've kept them on a Sunny Porch (indirct
sun). Since it got very cold a few days ago I brought them inside into a
cool room (68-70 degrees) that has an east-facing window. So far, none of
them have bloomed. I'm going to give it another seasone, since they were
only roots/cuttings when I planted them. They have grown however; one of
them is about 2 feet tall; another is about 12".

I know gingers like some indirect sun, warm temperatures, moisture and are
heavy feeders. Are you giving them these conditions? If so, give it until
late spring or early summer. You may have some blooms by then.
