Re: Patio Plants ?

        It has been my experience that most vegetable plants require a sunny
location with at least a half day of full sunshine.  You didn't mention the
zone in which you live, but you might try some leaf lettuce, spinach, and a
variety of salad greens.  If they turn "leggy" on you, there is probably no
hope for the hot weather crops like tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and
squash.  If your greens do okay, try some of the space saving patio hybrids.
They are compact plants that produce a large yield for their size.  Also
look for climbing plants. If you provide a support, they will go up instead
of out.
