Hi all:

Tulip bulbs are planted in the fall when dormant bulbs are available. There
will be instructions on the package about how deep to plant them and what
kind of fertilizer to use.

If you have bought a pot of tulips in bloom this spring, keep watering and
fertilizing them with any fertilizer you have until its past frost time and
then plant them in the garden. They may or may not bloom next year but will
in following years.

Squirrels love the bulbs and frequently move them around, digging them out
of one person's yard and planting them in someone else's. I once acquired a
beautiful black-red fringed tulip in this way. Putting a pice of chicken
wire over the bulbs in the hole before filling it in will discourage them.

Lost ofluck
