hi yall,
i was at the local greenmarket today and got 2 more ginger plants. one has
skinny stems and narrow leaves, kind of like a bamboo, the distinct thing is
that the underside of the leaves are reddish-purple. i wonder what the name
or scientific name is . the other one has bigger leaves, and somewhat
aromatic, i believe it is an Alpinia of some sort.
i'm currently growing Hedychium coronarium which i ordered from stokes. i'm
having a hard time getting the watering down. it was growing well for while
but now it's turning brown and dried up. it's always too much or too little
water, aaaarghhhh!!!
anyone else got gingers? what y'all got in bloom now? this list has gotten
so quiet lately!
