Hi out there!
I few months ago I bought a camellia plant at my local greenhouse
that was in bud. Per the instructions in my plant books, I kept
it moist in my basement greenhouse and hoped that the buds would
not drop due to the change in environment.
Well, so far so good. I have two blooms pretty much open, several more
on the way, and most of the remaining buds showing color. But much as I
enjoy going down and talking to the plant each morning, I know
that sooner or later I should bring it upstairs to be enjoyed even
though this means another change of environment.
Should I now be worried about "flower drop"? or is "bud drop"
mostly a problem before the buds reach blooming size? Thanks for
information on this any any other advice about camellias.
