Is the plant that is not blooming an old one? Amaryllis like lots of sun
and food in the summer months; then a dry rest period of 2-3 months. After
the rest period, bring them inside...Water well and they will bloom. They
do like to be a bit pot bound. It is best to divide and transplant them
early in the spring so that they can develop a hardy root systems and
gather the nutrients that they need to produce flower stalks the next year.
