Long intro

Hi all,

I just signed on a few days ago and haven't gotten any mail.  Does that
mean everyone is doing outdoor gardening this time of year?

My intro message advises letting you know my level of expertise.  Well,
here it is: NONE!

I have never grown food outside because of all the pesticides that have
been used in the yard.  I happened on a web site where people were growing
their food in containers.  I know it's late in the year, but I decided to
give it a try.  When the weather changes I hope to continue indoors.

Looking forward to sharing experiences.
