I don't know what type of Hoya I have.... or even IF what I have is a
Hoya.... I've always known it as a rope plant..... the leaves are very
hard and tear drop shaped when open... one side of them is a shiney dark
green and the under side is a dull light green.... the bloom is an
umbrella shaped cluster of pink-velvet star shaped flowers with a
smaller star shaped center. The cluster is approximately the size of
half of a peach.
I have this plant hanging in a window that has southern exposure and I
water it twice weekly - feed it once every six to eight weeks. I live
in mid-Michigan.
My mother has one of these plants also.... her's is in the center of her
home under a sky light - she waters it twice weekly - but doesn't feed
it at all..... my mother's plant blooms and grows like crazy.... this is
the first time that my plant has bloomed.... SO - I'm not sure that
it's direction of exposure or type of nutrients are playing a big
role....
Anyway, IF anyone knows what my plant is.... please let me know so that
I can understand more when you refer to Hoya's etc....
Thanks !!!
Lori.
