Hello all,
Yesterday I went unwillingly on a shopping expedition with my wife Pat. A
stop at a fabric store yielded a good find: plastic storage boxes.
These boxes, 13x8 inches, were on sale for $1 each. I purchased four to use
as propagating chambers. This morning I partially filled one with cuttings
of episcias, saintpaulia and other gesneriads. The lid is left slightly open
for air circulation. The box is under lights.
I also intend to use the boxes to grow plantlets from cuttings and to start
seed.
Using these boxes for propagating certainly is not new, but I've not tried
it before. The results will, hopefully, be good.
