Hi Everybody,

Welcome to John Adney. Your set-up in the basement sounds a little like a
set up I have in a workshop. I use shop lights and metal shelving units to
start herb seeds and grow the seedlings to the stage where they can be
planted outdoors or sold (hopefully!). I have just started to turn my hobby
into a commercial enterprise with the coming fall being my main selling
season due to my involvement in a Renaissance Festival near Houston, Texas.

I'm pleased so far with the way things are working indoors. By next winter,
though, I would like to be building a greenhouse. Any suggestions or tips
about greenhouses would be greatly appreciated, especially from anyone in
an especially warm climate.

I didn't realize Scotland had such short nights in the summer...how exotic.
I've never experienced that. Your plants outdoors must grow like crazy with
so much daylight.

That's all for now. Cindy in Texas, Z 8/9
