Hello!
First off, I wanted to thank everyone for the scented geranium suggestions
and help! They'll be arriving this week, and I'm getting really excited!
;-D I'm going to be potting and placing in my bedroom, where I have a
corner of the room comprised of 2 windows, east and south facing. It's the
brightest room of the whole house, with morning sun on one side, afternoon
sun on the other, and we'll just see how they do. I'm like Susan in the
fact that I'm more interested in the foliage than the flowers at this
point. I'll let you all know how we're doing in the months to come, if
you'd like.
In regard to Judith's question, you might want to try using a rooting
hormone, available in any garden center. You take the cutting, dip it in
the rooting hormone, then plant in a sterile soilless potting mixture,
keeping it moist. This method has always worked for me when I can't get
cuttings to root in water alone. I've heard that geraniums are notorious
for being persnickety in regard to propagation, so I wish you good luck! ;-D
