My local gardening store recommended Bonide Systemic Granules. It's something
you put in the soil. The plants suck it up and th scales are sucking it in
too. I've heard the spray stuff can only get the scales during a very short
period of their life when they are moving to a new place. I've been using the
Bonide for a few weeks and it seems to be doing a good job for my ficus and
palms.
