Re: Scale problems

Dear Julie:    My local garden center also recommended Bonide granular
systemic and I used a carton of the stuff last week.   But then I surfed
through a number of University extension recommendations; search Yahoo:
plant scale.The University of Iowa site says not to use granular
systemic because it doesn't work and there are problems with toxicity.
    Has anyone found a site for Bonide?   The Bonide label said that the
granular systemic worked on both scale and my personal current favorite,
mealybugs.
    The recommendations for which products to use changes perhaps more
frequently than the product turnover at a local garden center. We need
to share our experiences.
