Re: in-door veggie -help

I tried my hand at it this past winter.  Tomatoes were small, but tasty.
Carrots were small and a bit pale.  Lettuce bolted early...I guess 18 hours
of light is too much.  I ended up killing everything when we had a cold
spell.  I didn't compensate for the dry heat with enough water.  Since the
plants were in the basement, I didn't notice until it was too late.  This
year I'm going to add bush beans and try some simple hydroponics.

I'm very new to gardening so I've got lots to learn.  You more experienced
growers will probably do better on your first try with vegies.
