Re: cayenne
Cayenne acts more as a deterrent than a pesticide. In the spray I recently
posted cayenne and garlic act as deterrents while soap/oil/baking soda act
as pesticides on soft bodied insects and a fungicide (soda).
The post that you are questioning was posted in response to
spraying/dusting rotenone as a deterrent for rabbits, not as a pesticide. I
think that the misuse or overuse of any pesticide, even if it is organic,
is an irresponsible abuse of the environment. But I also realize that a lot
of people don't know that what they may be doing can be dangerous.
As you mentioned, cayenne and garlic are great for treating or preventing a
lot of conditions. I'm not familiar with their use as a treatment for
Candida, but I have heard that they can be used to Prevent candida onset.
I've recommended Cayenne to friends for help with spastic colon and other
lower digestive track problems, and all but a few have reported good
results. However, as you found out, it may not work for everyone. This is
one of the things about all medicines (which unfortunately a lot of
allopathic doctors don't realize), that people need to experiment with
things to see what works best for each individual.
