Say, "My name is Sara, and I'm a plant addict..." :-)   I started out with
one tiny little hoya and one African violet 5 years ago, and now I have
over 50 plants (and the only thing keeping me from getting more is
my hubby's complaining).  With my budgies in here it's like a jungle
(so they say).  You'll really know you have a problem when you join
Rick K.'s Clearance Plants Anonymous ("I know I can save this plant!"),
or do like me--cruising my apartment complex looking for abandoned
plants on the patios of people who've moved out or finding three HUGE
geraniums left behind the dumpster area.  But hey, it's nothing to be
ashamed of! :-)

As for the soil gnats, I've got them too (in fact one is buzzing around
my monitor as I type and is really annoying me).  I'm not sure how to
get rid of them but they don't seem to be hurting my plants.
