Hello! I just ignore the little bugs as long as they don't bug the plants.
sometimes those little black ones that look like fruit flies start
exploring the outer realms of the living room, and my husband starts
complaining, but I just ignore it, and in a while they seem to disappear.
(The bugs. I wouldn't want my husband to disappear! He is irreplaceable!)
I don't seem to have names for my plants, but I don't know why. Maybe
because there are too many of them? I don't talk to them either. I just
like to take care of them, and hope that actions speak louder than
words. I have a small flock of parakeets in the LR that make such a
racket that no plant would be able to hear what I was saying anyway. I
think I communicate with the plants by mental telepathy. I recall hearing
about some research that proved that plants could sense if somebody was
going to do them imminent harm. If that is so, then why can't they
sense when somebody is trying to do them some kindness? My New Guinea
impatiens is almost DEAD! Doesn't anybody know what is going on with it?
I think everybody must be outside mowing the lawn and planting their new
Mother's Day plants. Happy Mother's Day, everybody! -Lauren B. Zone 6 NY
