I think that the best thing about this list is the funny comments that
people put in. the second thing is the info about the plants. Has
anybody checked out the newly renovated conservatory complex at the NYBG?
I want to go, but my kids both have major term projects due in a few days,
so they are really busy, and I am the Project Facilitator. I used to have
a membership there, but then they took away the parking privileges (used to
be unlimited, now they just give you 4 parking passes. So, they lost our
membership and I used to get one for my folks, but now they don't want it
either. Dummies, they are...)I love going into the conservatories in the
winter - it's like going to Florida for a couple of hours. I do know that
you can park on the streets in the neighborhood, but you have to be careful
and use a "Club," and walk into the Gardens and the Cons. on Saturday
mornings before noon, and I think all day Wednesday. (You have to be a
member of the "Community" to know when the free times are for all the
institutions.) Tell me what you think of it if you get to go. My
impatiens is just about eternally dormant. Boo. -Lauren B. Zone 6 NY
