Re: Mealybugs

     i think we all sympathize with you as any grower of plants have had 
     the same experience.  my view is that mealybugs tend to be more 
     persistent than other pests and what you need to do is be persistent.  
     they eventually will go away.  i have had every pest in the book 
     (aphids (black and green), slugs, ants, mealybugs, scale (2 different 
     types), whiteflies, etc.) in my hundred plus houseplants, and 
     sometimes it just takes many, many more applications than you think.  
     i think you should stick with the safers soap and alcohol, instead of 
     going to the more toxic ones.
