Springtime

It looks like the list has entered its slow time of year.  Everyone must
be busy enjoying their outdoor gardens!

Even those of us without outdoor gardens probably have been busy.
A lot of my houseplants have really taken off.  All my African violets
are blooming like mad, my Streptocarpella is reblooming, my calla
lilies have finally sprouted, the Christmas cactus has tons of new
growth, I split up a pot of jade plants so now I have 3 instead of 1,
and my lipstick plant is blooming (finally).  The only problem I've
had is slugs in my outdoor containers.  They've been munching on
my violas, so I put some Deadline out and it seems to have taken
care of the problem.  I also got a nice out-of-bloom Phalaenopsis
for $5.
