Kalanchoe Help?

     Hello All,
        I received a kalanchoe plant as a gift in February.  The tag in the
pot classified it as an annual.  Simon and Schuster's *Complete Guide to
Plants and Flowers* calls it a perennial house plant.  I'm a bit confused.
I followed the Simon's advice and dead headed it.  Now what?  Does anyone
have some real experience with getting these plants to live through the
summer and re-bloom?
