I hope the planter box is up on a pedestal or a window! Mine started
out level with the top of the hanging basket and it's threatening the
plants on the ledge underneath it now. It has to have grown 3 feet in a
month. But the more stem area, the more flowers! And the color is
unbelievably bright! The buds color up very dark at first, almost a
deep, deep purple. When they open, though, they're neon. Can't speak
for pink wave, but somehow I doubt it's a nice pastel... :)

Botanical name of the week: Kolkwitzia....doesn't tell me a thing about
the plant; I just like to say it! :)
