[INDOOR-GARDENING:441] Where to get info on computer viruses

Thanks, Mariann, for the reminder. I would add the following information:

1) Don't open attached .exe, Microsoft Word or Excel files without scanning
them with your anti-virus program first. MS Word and Excel files can carry
a virus in their macros. The recent Melissa Word macro virus was an
example of this.

2) Check out any possible virus hoaxes at an authoritative site. These
sites are also good sources for information on new viruses.

	Data Fellows Virus Information Centre
       	http://www.datafellows.com/vir-info/
	McAffee

3) Purchase and install an anti-virus program, use it regularly and KEEP IT
UPTODATE. Update your virus information files from the online source on a
monthly basis.

Safe computing, everybody!
