Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all your kind words and advice.
To save time (a precious commodity these days), I am consolidating the questions and answers I had for you all:
Julie: Thanks. Where can I find information on the gesneriphiles email list?
Steve: Thanks for the Congrats!!
Ranjit: Thanks for the Welcome!! And Welcome to you too!
Peggy: Hello fellow-Bostonian! Looking forward to the snow?????
OK, here's where I divulge how much of a novice I really am...I had heard that African Violets do well under artificial light - so I had it on my desk at work. I brought it home when I changed jobs. So my first question is...is that true? What kind of light do they need and how much?
Also, I have been feeding it with a product called Miracle Gro Liquid. What kind of fertilizer should I be using? How often should I water it?
I just recently re-potted it into a bigger pot because the roots were coming out the bottom. The pot is a little bigger than the plant (a couple of inches). Are A.V.'s better in a smaller pot? I had heard that about Spiders.
Did I miss anything? Thanks again for all your help!
Gina

Hi Gina,
African violets will bloom year round in the proper enviroment. Yours
is probably not getting enough light and/or fertilizer. If you are
interested in african violets you can join the gesneriphiles email list.
I have found alot of great information there.
Julie
