African violets don't like their leaves *cold* and wet. Warm water won't
hurt them at all unless it sits in very tight crowns. People who show their
violets almost always wash the leaves under a warm running tap to clean them
for a show. After all it rains on them in Africa.
There might be a couple of problems with spraying fertilizer. First, it
should be recommended for this use and the right strength so it doesn't
burn. Second, it may leave white spots on the leaves when the water
evaporates leaving a fertilizer residue.
Cheers.
