Re: New member and question

Thanks so much to everyone who responded to my first post to this list. From the
responses, and from my lurking a couple of weeks, it seems there is a wealth of
houseplant knowledge among the list membership. I've already recommended the list
to a few of my houseplant-challenged friends.

I ended up tossing the peace lily since it's in a fairly prominent spot.
Unfortunately I don't have the room, or time, to place it out of sight and nurse
it back to full glory. I'll get another, though, since I think they're a
great-looking plant.

Time for one more quick question, this time about a kangaroo vine (cissus ant.?)
I bought the other day (houseplants are addictive, I'm finding). The vine for the
most part looks great even after the shock of moving to new digs, but a few of
the leaves look like they have varicose veins. Seriously! The 'veins' on those
leaves are a definite red, and the affected spots also had turned a lighter shade
of green. I can't find anything about this in my big new Readers Digest
houseplant book

I've snipped off most of the leaves (about 8) that had the problem, and left a
few more that are just starting to show it. Has anyone else experienced this? Is
it a normal feature of the kangaroo vine, or should I get out another garbage
bag...

Thanks
DW
