I DON'T KNOW OF A PREVENTATIVE BUT I USE Q-TIPS SOAKED IN ALCOHOL AND RUB
IT ALONG THE STEMS OR WHEREVER THE MEALYBUGS APPEAR AND IT WILL KILL THEM
AND KEEP THEM FROM SPREADING.
