Polka Dot Plants

I have a pink polka, Pinky.  I've had her for about 1 month and she's doing 
fine.  The only problem is that she grows quickly and is growing high.  I 
don't want a tall polka because I think they look better short.  Well 
anyway, about 2-4 leaves a week turn yellow and fall off and she ends up 
looking bare on the bottom and full on top.  Does anyone have one?  Any 
tips?
