Lysette:
This seems to be my day for putting in my two cents worth.
First, is there a crust around the rim of your pot at the soil line?
Fittonias seem to be very averse to fertilizer salts and succumb quickly.
Repot if this is so.
It would probably resprout from bare stems if the above is not a problem.
At any rate the tips will root quickly in damp vermiculite. Putting several
of the rooted cuttings into one pot will give you a full plant quickly.
It does not need sun but make sure it is in bright light or leaves will
drop. The bathroom humidity should be great for it.
Good luck.
