Myrtle information

Hi Everyone:
On a recent trip to California I purchased two Myrtle trees.  Both are in
one gallon containers.  I purchased them to use as indoor bonsai, but I
can't find any information about them.  Right now they are living in my
kitchen window facing west.  They seem to be OK, but I would hate to lose
them.  Has anyone had any experience growing them indoor?  Should they me
maintained in a cool environment?  Are they high, medium, or low light
requiring plants.  Any information would be appreciated.
