Some plants *require* dormancy to thrive and flower next year. So if the
book says to give them a dormancy period, do it!
As to pruning, that varies from plant to plant. My lantanas get pruned back
hard before their nap..Plumerias have their leaves cut off, but pruning is
left til spring. So check the book or ask the list about specific plants
for best info..
